Little Lowdi is punching with the heavyweights this month as he finds himself nominated for Best Consumer Electronics Website in the highly prestigious 17th Annual Webby Awards - hailed as the "internet's highest honor" by The New York Times, whilst also securing nominations for not one but two Webby People’s Voice Awards. With these three nominations over both the Webby’s and the People’s Voice Awards, we’re excited to hear the winner's announced on the 30th of April 2013.

We were absolutely elated to see Lowdi.com nominated for the Academy’s selection in the prestigious Webby Awards Consumer Electronics category, the biggest announcement since Lowdi’s launch a mere 7 months ago.  With huge competition in the form of VisYoualizer, The Verge, Marshall and Coloud, we are proud to compete alongside such high quality in both visual design and innovation.

Although the Webby Awards’ final decision is in the jury’s hands, for the People’s Voice Awards, the votes of the public can help us win. Lowdi has been pitched against Goliaths like: Google Chrome Web Lab, in the Best Visual Design – Aesthetic category, as well as The Verge and Marshall Headphones, in the Consumer Electronics Website category. You may already be familiar with Lowdi and we know that everyone loves an underdog, so that’s why we’re humbly asking for your votes - only if you genuinely think we’re good enough - to win the award for both People’s Voice categories.

Since Lowdi’s launch last year October, its driving force has been born from a love of both music and high quality design. This passion merged with the desire to bridge the digital and the physical resulted in the creation of a real product. The Lowdi brand infuses classic French taste with fresh Dutch design as a collaborative venture between Linkeet - a French digital products supplier - and Momkai - the independent Dutch digital design agency. The animated video you may have seen on our site is the craftsmanship of the highly-acclaimed French collective CRCR.

7 months later, we’re proud to say that we have not strayed away from our core passions of music and design and have actively pursued a creative collaboration with the legendary music label Ed Banger and megabrand Heineken to create a signature limited edition box set to commemorate their 10 year and 140 year anniversaries respectively. The box will be launched in the super-chic Paris boutique Colette this summer.
